My research focuses on enhancing consumer wellbeing, and has been funded by both external (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada; Transformative Consumer Research/ACR) and internal grants. Using a consumer wellbeing lens, I have conducted and published research on:
- Consumer coping with negative service experiences; Service provider responses to negative
service experiences
- Consumer use and generation of WOM
- Consumer (dis)empowerment
- Customer commitment
- More recently, I have published conceptual work on managerial sensemaking through metaphors
and narrativization.
My research in progress focuses on materialism, consumer power, and moral imagination.
