I received my PhD in Economics in 2019 from the University in Nairobi. I have previously taught at Strathmore University, Strathmore Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Kenyatta University, School of Economics. I have also trained on impact evaluation methods as well as developed curriculum for training on impact evaluation methodologies.
My main research interests are in education, labour and gender issues including gender gaps in education and labour market outcomes. My previous research work includes estimating the impact of class-size reduction on test scores, academic achievement gaps in public and private primary schools in Kenya and gender gaps in mathematics. Current ongoing research includes research on the use of iBeacon Technology to Track the Distribution of Development Goods in Developing Economies (with Jennifer Hamilton and Daniel Posner).
